My teacher Sonia Araus

sonia-araus

Hi, today I will speak about someone that I admire so much; she is my teacher of contemphorany dance, she is Sonia Araus. She studied at the Arcis Univeristy in Chile, since 1992, she started to work with important choreographers such as Alejandro Ramos, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Nuri Gutes, Carmen Beucha and among others. Later she was part of one project about old dances and other interesting pieces of the chontemphorany dance in Chile. Finally she applied for one Fondart, where she could travel to France, to study at the BMC.
At present she is in Chile, and continues her studies at the BMC in France in some periods of the each year.
She is a teacher in different dance schools, and for this reason I admire her , because she is an excellent pedagogue, Sonia has one particular methodology, which she changes for every student case; because for her it is important the learning process and I like it, because this means that she is a devoted padagogue.
Sonia will only teach me in this semester, and it´s finishing, but I feel that I have learned a lot of things about my body and dance.

Radiohead!

Hi everyone, today I´m going to talk about a band that I like so much. Although I don´t have one favorite band I love this one.
Radiohead are an English alternative rock band, formed in 1985. The band is formed by Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O´Brien, Colin Greenwood and Phil Selway. The first single is "creep" and it was released in 1992. Into the musical career they did  nine records and they changed along the time, but in every case their musical style is the alternative rock.
I like this band because I think that their musical proposal is so interesting. They have a unique sound and the singer "Thom York" does a peculiar interpretation. Also I belive that they have a social position about topics of the world, such as economy, politics and environment; and this is very important for me.
In that sense my favorite song is "Present Tense", this song is from the last album named "A moon shaped pool".
Now I´m going to put the link video so that you can watch it. I hope you enjoy it.

My favorite piece of technology

Hi everyone, I´m goinig to talk about my favorite piece of technology. In the first positition I would like tell you that I don´t usually use technology, because I prefer to do other activities, with people or outdoors.

But I would say that my favorite piece is my “phone”. I remember that I had one friend, and I was in his home when He stood up of his chair and went to his room. When he came back he gave me my phone, because He told me that my other phone was too old.

Now I use it always, because I need it every day for write with my friends and for read academy information at the university.

I think that my life without my phone would be a little harder, because I couldn´t know the important things quickly, but I belive that actually that It isn´t that important.
I hope that you are all well and you like my post.

What be?

I would like to tell you some things about my infancy. I remember that when I was a little girl I was in the school, and one teacher went  and said If someone wanted to go the  "rhythmic gymnastics", and I started to go. Althogh I wasn´t "the best" I thought that was so fun. This teacher started do the folklore class and she invited me. Then I practiced folklore dance and ballet in Doñihue Town.
Then when I was sixteen years old I decided that I could study dance, and I worked so much on my vacations to pay a pre-univertsity of dance at the Universidad de Chile. In any case I studied for PSU because If I wasn´t accepted I could study other career, in this case Filosofía. Finally I was accepted in both careers, but obviously I prefered to study Dance, When I started my class at the Univertsity It was hard for me, because It was a lot hours of training.

About this my experience at the university has been good, because I feel that I´m always learning and my classmates are very empathethic and loving.
Now I think that I would like to work with the normal people to teach some things about dance. I belive that the dance would be very important for them. They could learn more about their bodies.
